A giant inflatable duck will arrive in a North Yorkshire town next week to giving people the chance to win a year's worth of UK hotel breaks.

The larger-than-life duck will take centre stage close to The Feathers Hotel in Helmsley, as part of a nationwide summer road trip by The Coaching Inn Group, celebrating the Great British Staycation.

Visitors will be able to snap selfies, win instant prizes and enter a competition to win 12 weekend dinner-bed and breakfast breaks at Coaching Inn Group hotels across England and Wales.

Hosted by The Feathers the free event forms part of The Coaching Inn Group's "Wish You Were Here" Road Trip, a summer-long campaign encouraging people to explore more of the UK and discover some of the country's most characterful towns, villages and destinations.

As well as the headline prize, visitors can win a range of giveaways on the day, including complimentary food and drink, overnight stays and exclusive vouchers redeemable at Coaching Inn Group hotels.

The event, between 11am and 2pm, is expected to attract visitors from across the local area, with the giant duck providing a unique photo opportunity and a colourful addition to the town.

This is all about celebrating summer, supporting local towns and giving people the chance to win some fantastic prizes. The giant duck is impossible to miss, and we're looking forward to welcoming local residents and visitors for what promises to be a fun day."

The Road Trip campaign has been designed to inspire more people to embrace the Great British Staycation and explore destinations closer to home. The event is free to attend and open to all.
