June 2026
20th June – James Street, Harrogate – Harrogate Concours Car Event
Temporary road closure to facilitate Harrogate Concourse (Yorkshire Veteran Car Run 2026) event James Street/ Princes Street, Harrogate 09:00 – 16:00
20th -24th June – Grove Road, Harrogate
Description of works: Road closure for Northern Powergrid to reset frames and lids
The Restriction will be in place for a period of 5 days between 20th June 2026 and 24th June 2026
28th June – Rudding Lane, Follifoot CP, Follifoot, Spofforth with Lower Wharfedale Ward
Temporary traffic management to facilitate Harrogate Harriers 10Km road running race Rudding Lane – One Way Southbound Only – Northbound traffic via alternative signed route Temporary short term closures on Pannal Road, Follifoot and Hookstone Drive, Harrogate to enable safe movement of event participants from minor roads/ accesses to highway.
The Restriction will be in place for a period of 3 hours between 28th June 2026 and 28th June 2026
July 2026
5th July – Oatlands Drive/ Stray Rein, Harrogate – Race for Life (Harrogate) 2026
Oatlands Drive and Stray Rein Temporary road closures and waiting restrictions under S16A of Road Traffic Regulation Act to facilitate Race for Life 2026 Cancer Research Race for Life 2026 event Oatlands Drive & Stray Rein, Harrogate
The Restriction will be in place for a period of 7 hours between 5th July 2026 and 5th July 2026
20th July – 11th September – Swan Road, Harrogate CP, Harrogate
Road closure for Yorkshire Water to renew water main.
The works/closure will be undertaken in phases and access will be maintained to hotels and businesses.
Phase 1 – road closure between Ripon Road to exit from Old Swan Hotel / Bewick Grange
Phase 2 – road closure between exit from Old Swan Hotel / Bewick Grange to Swan Lane
Phase 3 road closure between York Road to Crescent Gardens
Phase 4 Road Closure between Crescent Gardens to Crescent Road, and also a one way road closure at the bottom of Cornwall Road
29th July – Bilton Lane, Harrogate CP, Harrogate
Road closure for Yorkshire Water to install stop tap and chamber
The Restriction will be in place for a period of 1 day on the 29th July 2026. Please note access will be maintained through the closure as there is not suitable diversion route available.
30th July – Prospect Road, Harrogate CP, Harrogate
Road closure for Northern Powergrid to excavate joint bay
The Restriction will be in place for a period of 13 days between 30th July 2026 and 11th August 2026
