This will be the first Annual Town Meeting to take place following the creation of Harrogate Town Council in 2025 and forms part of the civic calendar for parish and town councils across England.
The Annual Town Meeting is held each year between March and June and, although not a formal council meeting, provides an opportunity for electors to hear about the work of the Town Council and matters affecting the parish.
At this year’s meeting, Harrogate Town Council will present its first Annual Report, outlining key activities and work undertaken during the Council’s first year.
Mayor of Harrogate, Councillor Viv Poskitt, who will chair the meeting, said:
“We are pleased to invite residents to attend Harrogate’s first Annual Town Meeting and to hear about the work undertaken by the Town Council during its first year serving the parish.”
The meeting is distinct from an ordinary Town Council meeting and is open to residents of Harrogate Parish.
