An inquest into the death of a County Durham runner is set to open nearly two years after she was found dead in a remote area of Teesdale.
The inquest into 23-year-old Jenny Hall, from Tow Law, is due to open at Crook Coroners Court on Tuesday, November 10.
Jenny was reported missing in February 2025 after going out for a run. Her body was recovered five days later, on February 23, following extensive searches.

The inquest had previously been delayed while officials reviewed the medical cause of her death.
In July 2026, Durham and Darlington Coroners' Office confirmed Jenny's cause of death was still under review, 17 months after her body was found.
Mountain rescue teams worked "around the clock" to search between Eggleston and Stanhope and bring Jenny home.

Her red Ford Focus was found parked on the B6278 as officers investigated her disappearance, checking mobile phone pings, her smartwatch and running apps, but found no leads.
Her death was later ruled as non-suspicious.
Friends and family paid tribute to the much-loved runner, remembering her as bright and fiercely independent.
