A key North Yorkshire road is closing for annual maintenance from today (Monday, October 26)
North Yorkshire Council said the The A174 will close at Lythe Bank, near Sandsend, from 7.30am to 4pm, on each of the next five days.
The road is an important coastal route linking Whitby with communities to the north and onward towards Teesside.
The council said a local shuttle bus service will run for the duration of the works, calling at stops in Lythe and along the A174 to serve Goldsborough Lane, plus East and West Barmby Road End.
