Comedian Ricky Gervais is coming back to York as part of his huge new tour.
Gervais will tour the new show, titled ‘Legend’, from autumn 2026 through to the end of 2027, when it will be filmed and become his fifth in a string of globally successful Netflix specials.
Ricky Gervais is at York Barbican on Monday 15 February 2027.
And Netflix has bought the rights to stream Ricky Gervais’ next tour before it’s even started.
Gervais’ four previous tours Humanity,* Supernature*,* Armageddonand Mortality* all broke box office records and topped the Netflix charts upon release.
Armageddon andMortality both won Ricky a Golden Globe for ‘Stand-Up Comedy on Television’, in 2024 and 2026 respectively.
“This is my most personal show so far and because both cancel culture, and most people I knew growing up, are dead, I can really say what the f*ck I want now,” Gervais said.
Gervais will once more be donating a portion of the proceeds from the tour’s ticket sales to charity – £2.43 million was donated to worldwide animal charities at the end of his Mortality tour in 2025.
Tickets for Ricky Gervais at York Barbican will go on sale Friday 30 October at 10am via the venue website.
