A Bradford funfair is set to reopen today, after high winds brought by Storm Boela forced it to close over the weekend.
Operator Marshall Waddington closed the fair at Forster Square early on Saturday evening.
The rides and attractions remained shut on Sunday, October 25, as gusts swept through the site and some attractions were partially dismantled as a precaution.
The fair, which returned to Bradford after a three-year absence, opened beside Forster Square Retail Park last week and is due to run throughout the half-term holiday until Saturday, October 31.
Mr Waddington confirmed the decision had been taken because guest safety was “paramount”.
He said: "The fair could operate in some adverse conditions, but we decided to close it after amber weather warnings were issued and monitoring showed wind speeds increasing.
“We know that some of our guests who planned to visit will be disappointed, but we are back open every day from Monday, 26 October.
“With no further weather warning in place, we are confident we will be open through to and including Saturday.”
Attractions include the new eXtreme Freak Out ride, as well as the Twister, Danceland Miami and Waltzers.
Rides for younger children and stalls selling hot food, drinks and sweets are also available.
The fair is off Canal Road, beside Forster Square Retail Park and behind Starbucks.
Daily sessions run from noon to 2.30pm, 3pm to 5.30pm and 6pm to 8.30pm.
Wristbands cost £10 and include all rides.
