Teesside travellers have more opportunities to connect with destinations around the world from today, as a popular flight returns.
KLM has reinstated an additional service between Teesside International Airport and Amsterdam Schiphol today (Monday, October 26), increasing the route from two to up to three flights a day.
The returning 10am flight gives passengers another option for reaching Amsterdam or connecting through Schiphol to destinations worldwide.

When the extra flight was announced in July, airport bosses said the Amsterdam route connected passengers to more than 160 destinations, including Washington DC, Toronto and Dubai.
The airport marked Monday’s return of the 10am service by highlighting connections to New York, Aruba, Tokyo, Singapore and Toronto.
It means those travelling for business, a city break or a longer holiday have another opportunity to begin their journey from Teesside rather than travelling to a larger airport.
When the reinstatement was announced, Phil Forster, managing director of Teesside Airport, said: “KLM has been a valued airline partner for years now, and this extra route is once again showing commitment to our continued success.
“Amsterdam is a great destination for a city break or longer, and ideal for culture lovers, with an incredible array of art, museums, architecture and food.
“Vitally, Schiphol is one of Europe’s biggest and best airports, offering incredible connectivity just over an hour from Teesside.”
Amsterdam is also one of the easiest European city breaks to reach directly from Teesside, with flights taking little more than an hour.
The Dutch capital has more than 160 canals and 44 museums, including the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Anne Frank House, as well as cafés, shops and restaurants.
Jerome Salemi, general manager for Air France-KLM in the UK and Ireland, previously said: “We are very pleased to operate three daily flights from Teesside International Airport to Amsterdam Schiphol during the 2026 winter season.
“This clearly underlines our commitment to the region in offering the best air connectivity to Amsterdam and beyond for both business and leisure travellers.”

The extra flight was also welcomed as a boost for businesses targeting international markets.
Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said when the service was announced: “This extra route is great news for passengers but also our local businesses as we encourage them to put themselves forward on the world stage.
“We’ve always said that inward investment doesn’t come by bus, it comes through an airport terminal.”
The extra flight will run until January 4, 2027, then temporarily return to two daily services until February 21 to reflect seasonal demand.
Three daily flights are then due to resume for the remainder of the winter season.
