A popular North East restaurant has been praised for an “absolute bargain” evening deal costing less than £20 per person.
Spice Connection, on Durham Road in Gateshead, offers an early evening dining special for £19.95 per person.
The deal includes one starter, main course, side dish, rice and a naan bread.
Available every day from 5pm to 8pm for sit-in customers, the deal has attracted food reviewers from across the North East who aim to see if the deal is too good to be true.

Food reviewer Kyle Gibson, known online as KyleVFood, visited the restaurant and posted a video on October 21 of his experience.
The Sunderland-born reviewer told followers he chose a chicken tikka starter along with Bombay aloo, lamb bhuna, pilau rice and a Peshwari naan.
First sampling the chicken tikka, Kyle praised his starter as tender, describing the flavourful marinade as "spot on."
He similarly enjoyed the Bombay aloo, and said: "Potato's perfect. It's cooked beautifully, it's soft."
He added that there was more flavour than spice with his side dish, which he said was a positive, adding: "I don't like too much spice, but it's more of a flavour than a spice, which is a good thing.”
Kyle praised his lamb bhuna for its "thick, rich sauce," before he said: “I've got to say it, that lamb is incredibly, incredibly tender.
“It literally just melts.”
He ended his review with his personal highlight, adding “you honestly just can't beat a peshwari naan bread," before encouraging followers to visit the Indian restaurant for themselves.
Kyle concluded with a mention of the restaurant's value for money, and said: “For the price of that, less than £20, that's a serious feast right there.”
Regulars were quick to share their own experience with the restaurant under Kyle's post, with one writing: "This is our favourite place.
"Found it during Covid for takeaway once we were allowed, had lots of family gatherings there.
"Birthdays, my Mam and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary, the food is always consistently delicious.
"Such lovely staff and friendly. So glad you have this review."
