National Rail is advising passengers to check before travelling today because disruption from Storm Boelo over the weekend may still cause delays, despite there being no weather warnings for Monday.

What will the weather be like in the North East today?Today: It will be cool, cloudy and wet across the North East, with light rain easing this evening. Winds will be lighter after Storm Boelo, but gusts could reach 30mph this afternoon. Maximum temperature 13°C.
Tonight: Showers will ease in the early evening before returning tomorrow morning. Light southerly winds will bring gusts of up to 45mph. Minimum temperature 6°C.
