A Durham road will close for up to three weeks for telecoms work, with no signed diversion route.

A 60-metre stretch of Crossgate, between numbers 4 and 11, will close to all vehicles while telecoms ducts are installed.

The closure is due to start on Monday, November 9, and last up to three weeks.

No signed diversion route will be provided for drivers.

Emergency vehicles will still be able to reach the area during the work.

Residents and businesses have been warned that the dates could change, with any update posted on site.

The order would allow telecoms ducts to be installed.
