A young girl who has battled cancer for years is now at the centre of a fundraising effort to help her family make precious memories.
12-year-old Evie, from Washington, Sunderland, was diagnosed with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma at the age of nine, and has now exhausted all treatment options.
Her family say they are now focused on creating as many special moments as possible in the time she has left.
Her mother, Tara Owens, told the Northern Echo: "This is why the GoFundMe is so important - it's a race against time.
"We just want to make more memories."

A fundraiser has been set up by her aunt, Nicola Carnall, to help the family fulfil Evie's wish list, which includes a prom, a trip to Centre Parcs, and a visit from Disney characters at home.
Ms Owens said: "We just want to do family things.
"I want her to be able to spend time with friends, let her go shopping, have makeovers, pamper sessions and sleepovers."
Evie was diagnosed in 2024 after a fall during a visit to a friend's house over Easter.
Her mother recalled: "Evie was nine, when she had a little fall, and it all started from then.
"She had gone to her friend's house over Easter in 2024 where she had a little bit of a slip, but we didn't think too much of it, and treated it like you would with any child, we just kept an eye on it."
Over time, Evie began experiencing pain in her back and shoulders, and her parents became concerned when she was unable to walk normally.
Ms Owens said: "As things progressed, Evie couldn't go to school, couldn't do normal things.
"One day she got up and came downstairs and couldn't really get off the sofa, she was in a lot of pain.
"We called an ambulance and went to Sunderland hospital, where they did a few checks.
"We did X-rays, they [the medical experts] thought Evie had something wrong with her bones."
Evie was given anti-inflammatory medication and referred to a bone specialist, but her condition worsened and she began vomiting.
Her mother suspected a reaction to the medication, but tests later revealed she had high calcium levels and she was transferred to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI).
Further investigations led to the diagnosis of Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Evie spent 18 days in hospital before starting chemotherapy, which then continued until December 6, 2024.
She then began maintenance chemotherapy at home, which allowed her to return to school and reconnect with friends.
However, in February 2026, she relapsed.

Ms Owens explained: "She needed fluid building up around her heart and would have to start chemo again.
"The cancer got clever and started bypassing treatment.
"We started another chemo, got to the six-week point, but Evie started getting back into discomfort."
The family are now focused on helping Evie enjoy the time she has.
