Thousands of North Yorkshire homes were expected to be without power overnight following severe weather linked to Storm Boelo.
Northern Powergrid has confirmed yesterday (Sunday, October 25) that it expects around 13,000 customers will remain without power this morning.
It comes after the storm caused significant damage to the network, causing disruption for over 127,000 customers.
The power company said it restored power to more than 80 per cent of those affected.
The Harrogate and Bridlington areas had the highest number of disruptions at 7.45am this morning, according to the company's website, with one unplanned power cut also reported in the YO2 area to the south of York.
However, the continued adverse weather has hampered repair efforts.
As reported by The Press, the weekend saw hundreds of homes in Strensall without power, and there were also outages reported in Osbaldwick, Derwenthorpe and Dunnington.
In York, a tree toppled onto four cars and landed on the front windows of a hostel in Holgate Road.

Gales also forced the closure of several attractions across the county.
In a statement yesterday evening, Northern Powergrid said: "We will continue working through the night but we expect around 13,000 customers will remain without power beyond tonight.
"We recognise that this is not welcome news for those customers going into tomorrow without power.
"We understand that frustration and we will do all that we can to reconnect all remaining customers tomorrow."
Customers have been urged to check the company's online power cut map for updates on when electricity supplies are expected to be restored.
In response to the ongoing situation, Northern Powergrid said it mobilised engineers and specialist teams, including customer support vehicles, to the worst-affected areas.
The company has also been restoring power remotely where possible, which helps identify faults and reconnect customers quickly.
