A North Yorkshire man has been put on the sex offenders’ register and given a suspended prison sentence after he pleaded guilty to voyeurism.

John Baldini, 58, of Jubilee Road, Aiskew near Bedale, appeared before Warrington Magistrates Court.

He was given a 26-week prison term which was suspended for a year because the sentence was under 12 months.

He was put on the sex offenders’ register for seven years and made subject to a lifelong restraining order banning him from contacting the victim of the voyeurism in any way, directly or indirectly through a third person.

He was ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.
