A popular Teesside fireworks display will return for the first time in five years, reviving memories of the colourful shows that drew huge crowds.
Stockton Council has revisited past displays as excitement builds for the event’s long-awaited return.
Pictures from previous years show fireworks lighting up the sky as crowds enjoy music, food, entertainment and funfair rides.
Stockton Council recently confirmed that Stockton Fireworks would return to the Riverside on Sunday, November 1, after a five-year break.
The last display was held at Stockton Riverside in 2021, before a major town-centre transformation that included the opening of the new Waterfront park.

The 2026 festivities will begin at Stockton Riverside from noon, with a funfair, live entertainment, food and drink across the town centre.
Live music will also fill Finkle Square in the afternoon before BBC Radio Tees entertainment begins at 4.30pm.
The main event starts at 6.30pm, with fireworks lighting up the River Tees to an orchestral soundtrack inspired by the water.
