North Yorkshire retreat praised by guests for luxury treehouse stays and hot tubs

A luxury countryside retreat near Richmond is earning rave reviews from visitors who say it offers the perfect chance to escape everyday life and reconnect with nature.

Treetops Hideouts, situated just outside Richmond, North Yorkshire, offers guests the choice of staying in either a stunning treehouse or a contemporary holiday cottage, both complete with private hot tubs and spectacular views across the surrounding landscape.

The business is run by Lisa and Martin, who moved to Richmond in 2022 from the North York Moors, having previously lived in London, to create their dream holiday getaway.

Martin, an experienced builder, first transformed the site's holiday cottage, creating a modern retreat featuring a large hot tub and panoramic views over a valley and nearby stream.

Once the cottage was complete, he turned his attention to a more ambitious project: a bespoke luxury treehouse.

Martin spent months constructing the expansive deck in front of the cabin to maximise its picturesque setting among the trees and surrounding countryside.

The couple also installed a wood-fired hot tub and carefully selected the interiors to create a stylish and comfortable space for guests.

Today, visitors can choose between The Pines Treehouse, a unique hideaway nestled among the treetops, or Treetops Cottage, a peaceful retreat offering modern comforts and beautiful rural surroundings.
