Content creator Shendrine Wijendra shared a glimpse of Padley Gorge in the Peak District, describing it as the ideal destination for those who "love autumn colours, woodland walks, streams and dramatic views".
She said: "Location: Padley Gorge, Peak District National Park. Trail: Padley Gorge Circular. Starting point: Car park at the corner of Hathersage Road and Owler Bar Road. Finish: Same point – circular route."
Shendrine noted the trail covers approximately 5.8miles or 9.3km and should take around 2-3 hours to complete. She rated the difficulty as "moderate" and advised walkers to "expect some steep sections, uneven paths and woodland terrain".
Highlighting some of the must-see spots, she recommended fans explore Burbage Brook, Padley Gorge, Millstone Edge and Oxhay Woods.
If you need further persuasion, Shendrine explained that autumn is the ideal season to visit, particularly when the trees display their golden hues. After finishing the walk, she suggested stopping in Grindleford for a warm cafe or pub visit.
Padley Gorge offers plenty of activities, including walking, paddling and wildlife watching among the ancient oak and birch woodland of the Peak District National Park.
The gorge itself is under a mile long, but walking the full loop paths, crossing wooden footbridges, and navigating tree roots and rocks add time.
