A crash has closed a main York road tonight (Saturday).
Police have closed Boroughbridge Road while they deal with the incident.
Drivers say they have been stuck for 90 minutes.
Crash location
It’s reported to be between the Crispy Chinese restaurant, close to Plantation Drive, and the Texaco petrol station, next to Cranbrook Avenue.
Several train replacement buses are said to be stuck in the traffic, waiting to get to York Station.
They have been laid on due to the major engineering works happening on the tracks between York and Leeds this weekend.
We have no details on casualties as yet.
