One person has been taken to hospital after a two-car crash in County Durham.
Three people were treated at the scene, and one person was taken to hospital for further treatment.
A spokesperson for North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) said: “We received a call just before 9am this morning to a collision between two vehicles on the A181 near the junction to Dunelm Lane in Thornley, Durham.
“We dispatched an ambulance crew who assessed three patients on scene and took one into hospital.”
The road was partially blocked for several hours, and traffic was heavier than normal following the crash.
The road has since reopened.
