Tucked away just off one of Saltburn's main shopping streets is an independent shop where dozens of artists, makers and small businesses share the shelves.
Creation Saltburn sells everything from original artwork and handmade jewellery to ceramics, vintage clothing and quirky gifts, while giving independent creatives a place to showcase their work in North Yorkshire.
The creative hub was founded by Laura Bowles in late 2023, with a vision to provide affordable studio space for local artists and makers while giving small businesses somewhere to sell their products without having to run their own shop.
Its studios welcomed their first occupants in March 2024, before the Creation Emporium opened as a permanent makers' market over the Easter weekend that year.

It now hosts more than 80 independent businesses selling hundreds of products.
Shoppers can browse art, photography, prints, jewellery, pottery, ceramics, greeting cards, gifts, home fragrances, soft furnishings, woodwork, crochet, novelty socks, souvenirs, teas, baking kits, Frenchic Paint, picture frames, vintage clothing and 12-inch vinyl.
The shared space lets shoppers support a range of small businesses in one visit.
Beyond the shop floor, Creation also has eight studios providing affordable workspaces for local artisans, helping it grow into a wider creative hub.
The business describes itself as a “creative destination” and permanent makers’ market, giving small independents a space to showcase and sell their work.

Creation is at Victoria Hall on Diamond Street, just off Milton Street and a short, flat walk from Saltburn train station and the town centre, and the shop is accessible and dog-friendly.
For shoppers exploring Saltburn's independent scene, Creation offers more than gifts, with every purchase supporting an artist, maker or small business.
Creation is open from 10am to 2pm Monday to Thursday, 10am to 4pm on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11am to 4pm on Sundays.
