Darlington shop launches huge ‘everything must go’ sale ahead of temporary closure

A Darlington outdoor clothing retailer is set to temporarily close its doors as it prepares for a major refurbishment.

Trespass, in Queen Street Shopping Centre, will close at the end of February next year while work is carried out on the store.

Ahead of its last day of trading on February 28, the retailer has launched an "everything must go" sale, with savings of up to 70 per cent.

Pictures from the town centre show bright yellow signs filling the windows of the store, announcing that it is "closing down for refurbishment".

Shoppers are also being told "everything must go", with reductions across outdoor clothing, footwear, camping gear and accessories.

However, it is understood the closure is only temporary, with Trespass set to undergo a major refurbishment rather than leave Darlington for good.

The store can be found at 43 Northgate in Queen Street Shopping Centre and remains open while the clearance sale takes place.

Exactly what the refurbishment will involve has not yet been announced, and a reopening date has not been confirmed.

Trespass sells a range of outdoor clothing and equipment, with its Darlington branch stocking items for walking, camping and other outdoor activities.

Its final day of trading before the refurbishment is due to be February 28, 2027.
