A trail of "bin monsters" will take over Darlington town centre this half term in a bid to encourage more residents to recycle their food waste.
The family-friendly activity is designed to promote food waste recycling in a fun and engaging way.
The trail will run from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30.
Libby McCollom, Darlington Council's cabinet member for local services, said: "This is a fun way to engage families and remind us all how our waste can do wonders.
"I want to thank everyone who has been recycling their food waste – hopefully, this trail will encourage more people to get involved and remind everyone to put their food waste and recycling out each week for collection.
"One of our priorities, laid out in the council plan, is to create a well-connected, clean and sustainable borough.
"By recycling more we can all help achieve this."
