For more than 70 years, one independent Teesside butcher has been serving generations of customers in its community.
Blackwells Butchers on Norton High Street was first founded by the current owner's grandfather, before the business was passed onto their father.
The third generation of the Blackwell family now runs the business, continuing a tradition spanning more than seven decades.

Anna Blackwell said: "We're incredibly proud to continue the family tradition while making sure the business evolves for future generations.
"We've always been more than just a butcher's shop. Being part of the Norton community is at the heart of everything we do.
"Many of our customers have been shopping with us for years, and we're now serving the children and grandchildren of families who first came through our doors decades ago."
Blackwells has since expanded beyond traditional butchery, introducing deli products, prepared meals, local deliveries and online ordering to meet changing customer demands.
The shop specialises in locally sourced meat from regional farmers and is known for its award-winning pies and handmade pastries.

Customers can buy beef and other products through the website, including mini meals, ready meals and sides from the Easy Meal Collection.
Customers can also choose from a popular selection of gifts, hampers and boxes.
The family said: "Whilst traditional butchery remains at the core of the business, we've continued to adapt to changing customer needs with deli products, prepared meals, local delivery services and online ordering, all while maintaining the personal service and quality we're known for."
Blackwells has also been catering for events across Teesside for more than 30 years, offering traditional pie and pea suppers, homemade cold buffets, and other bespoke options.
In 2024, Blackwells won the Best Butcher Steak award, while butcher Max Smith was named Q Guild Young Butcher of the Year.

Despite the business' national success, the Blackwell family says its High Street shop and relationship with the community remain at its heart.
They said: "Independent high street businesses face plenty of challenges these days, so we're incredibly grateful for the support we've received from the local community over the years.
"Reaching 70 years in business is a real milestone, and we don't take for granted the loyalty of our customers, team and suppliers who have helped make that possible."
Now in its third generation, Blackwells continues to balance the traditions and family charm that have defined the business for more than 70 years with the changing needs of its customers.
