Pensioner died after being pushed to floor by thug in bus stop row
Thomas Childe is now behind bars
A Leeds thug who pushed a pensioner to the floor at a bus stop and killed him has been jailed.
Thomas Childe, 24, admitted manslaughter and was put behind bars for six years and eight months when he appeared at Leeds Crown Court on Friday, October 23.
The court heard that Childe, of Aberford Road, pushed 79-year-old Colin Starbuck to the floor at a bus stop after a "verbal altercation."
Mr Starbuck was taken to hospital where he died later that day.
West Yorkshire Police said an investigation found he had suffered a heart attack and detectives discovered a "casual link" between that and the altercation with Childe.
Childe was identified by CCTV footage.

Following the sentencing, Senior Investigating Officer Detective Superintendent Matt Holdsworth, said: “The thorough investigation conducted by our officers was able to prove that Childe was responsible for causing the needless death of Mr Starbuck, whose family are still coming to terms with their sudden loss.
“I hope today’s outcome will give them some comfort as they try to move forwards with their lives.”
