York Business School at York St John University is proud to be sponsoring this year’s Press Business Awards, celebrating the outstanding businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations whose ambition, innovation and leadership are helping to shape the future of York and the wider region.

The sponsorship comes at an exciting time for York St John University, following the opening of its new King’s Manor site in the heart of York. The development represents a significant investment in the University’s presence within the city and strengthens its commitment to working in partnership with businesses, organisations and communities across York and North Yorkshire.

King’s Manor will provide a new hub for engagement between the University and the wider community, including dedicated facilities for York Business School’s Business Clinic and York St John Law Clinic. Through these clinics, students and academic colleagues will provide pro bono business consultancy and legal support to organisations across the city and region, creating tangible economic and social impact while giving students valuable experience of working on real-world challenges.

For York Business School, this commitment to the region’s business community is central to its mission. Through education, applied research, business engagement and initiatives such as the Business Clinic, the School is supporting both the development of the next generation of business leaders and the growth of the regional economy.

Professor Brendan Paddison, Dean of York Business School, said:

“We are delighted to sponsor The Press Business Awards and to celebrate the remarkable contribution businesses across York and North Yorkshire make to our economy and our communities. This has been a particularly significant year for York Business School, with the opening of our new King’s Manor site creating exciting opportunities to deepen our engagement with the city and the wider region. Through our Business Clinic and Law Clinic, we are looking forward to providing meaningful, pro bono support to local organisations while giving our students the opportunity to apply their knowledge and make a real difference.”

As York continues to build its reputation as a thriving centre for business, innovation and entrepreneurship, York Business School is proud to play its part – and to celebrate the people and organisations driving that success.
