A rugby club has been forced to cancel its Halloween event after struggling to sell enough tickets.

The Bradford Bulls Community Foundation had planned to host a 1980s-themed Halloween night on Saturday, October 31.

However, the charity revealed that they have had to cancel due to poor ticket sales.

What have they said

In a post made on social media, a spokesperson for the club said: "Unfortunately, we’re really sorry to announce that our 80s Halloween Party with Flashback on Saturday 31st October has had to be cancelled due to low ticket sales.

"This is not a decision we’ve taken lightly, and we know this will be disappointing news for those who were looking forward to joining us for a night of 80s music and Halloween fun."

The post continued: "As a registered charity, we have to be mindful of the costs involved in running events and ensure they are financially viable.

"Sadly, with the number of tickets sold, we're unable to go ahead with the event this time."

Full refunds to be given

The statement confirmed that all ticket holders will receive a full refund and thanked supporters for their understanding.

It read: "Everyone who has purchased a ticket will receive a full refund.

"We're sorry for any inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while refunds are processed.

"We’re genuinely sorry to everyone who has bought a ticket, supported the event, shared our posts or helped us spread the word.

"We really do appreciate your support and understanding.

"Thank you for continuing to support Bradford Bulls Community Foundation and the work we do across our community."
