Glimpses of landscape’s secrets to be revealed by 'curious keeper of the land'

THIS weekend people will be able to experience a piece of art that uses Shipley Glen as its canvas.

A Way Back has been described as a “site specific immersive artwork” – and is being delivered by Bradford Culture Company.

The experience begins at Bracken Hall, where visitors will discover the Seed House: an imagined field station, a place for collected objects, curious discoveries and forgotten stories, and a gateway into the landscape beyond.

Inside, the voice of a wise and curious keeper of the land draws you into her world. Through stories, collected objects and gentle instructions, she’ll offer glimpses of the landscape’s secrets, along with a few things to carry with you as you venture out into the world beyond.

From there, venture into Shipley Glen or across Baildon Moor, with a handful of prompts and curious objects to accompany you along the way.

People can follow their own path, take their time, and see what catches their attention.
