NEW art and design facilities have opened to support the next generation of creative talent.
Calderdale College has expanded its Mill Studios campus at Dean Clough, creating additional teaching space within the historic Halifax mill complex.
The expansion allows the college to increase its student intake at the site from 130 to 280 for the current academic year.
Jeremy Hall, chairman and managing director of Dean Clough, said: "It’s thrilling to see the expansion of Mill Studios at Dean Clough, and to welcome the new cohort of students here.
"The integration of this fantastic, aspirational, educational resource brings a wonderful richness to the Dean Clough community."
The refurbishment completes the remaining space allocated to the college following the first phase of its digital hub, which opened in late 2024.
David Malone, principal and chief executive at Calderdale College, said: "The completion of this next phase of Mill Studios is a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering cutting-edge education across the digital and creative industries.
"It allows us to grow into the space originally allocated to the College, increase our intake and give Level 2 and Level 3 Art & Design students a dedicated home alongside our established digital provision."
The additional space was made possible by £1 million in government funding awarded in April 2026.
