A FRESH round of funding is set to boost business growth and job creation in Keighley.
A £1 million capital funding package has been announced to help local businesses expand their premises and upgrade equipment, building on the success of a previous scheme that supported 36 companies and created 127 new jobs.
The funding is delivered by Bradford Council and backed by the Keighley Neighbourhood Board and the Local Regeneration Fund.
Tim Rogers, chair of the Keighley Neighbourhood Board, said: "The success of previous funding has proved that targeted capital grants have an incredible ripple effect on our local economy.
"By helping those businesses to grow, we paved the way for more than a hundred new job opportunities right here in our community."
The new funding round aims to help even more businesses improve their facilities, increase capacity, and drive further job creation in the area.
Mr Rogers said: "This new £1 million injection will empower even more local firms to invest in their future, scale up their operations, and ensure that Keighley remains a robust hub for enterprise and innovation."
Councillor Andrew Judson, Bradford Council’s executive member for economy, regeneration, and planning, stated the funding reflects the council’s commitment to long-term economic growth.
He said: "Regeneration is far more than just updating physical infrastructure; it is fundamentally about creating economic confidence and supporting enterprise, which in turn creates opportunities for local people.
"This £1 million package shows our continued commitment to putting local employers at the heart of Keighley’s future.
"We want to ensure Keighley remains somewhere businesses can truly prosper, and I would urge eligible local businesses to take advantage of the financial support available."
