A site is being transformed into a modern industrial hub.

Located on Lindley Moor Road in Huddersfield, the former Wappy Spring Inn is being redeveloped into 13 new industrial units by the Bradford-based Nano Park Company, with Knight Frank appointed as the marketing agent.

Edward Marshall, director of Nano Park Company, said: "As the steel frame is currently being erected for the second building on this site, we are pleased to appoint Max Vause at Knight Frank as joint letting agent with Matthew Jennings of Eddisons.

"Max has been key to the letting of all our Nano units across West Yorkshire to date and we are pleased to have him on board with this project in his new role at Knight Frank."

The development is expected to create 120 jobs and bring long-term economic and social benefits to the area.

The site had been vacant for several years and had become a hotspot for anti-social behaviour, including fly-tipping, arson, and vandalism.

Edward Marshall said: "Once upon a time, the Wappy Spring was a famous Huddersfield landmark.

"Sadly, over recent years, the lack of active use has contributed to ongoing issues, creating an unattractive and problematic space that serves no benefit at all to the local community."

Max Vause of Knight Frank said: "It has always been a pleasure to work with Edward and Jimmy Marshall at the Nano Park Company, both at my previous role at Carter Towler and now at Knight Frank.

"They are can-do developers who always focus on solutions rather than problems."

Construction firm Percy Pickard Contractors is currently on site, with the 13 units scheduled for completion and occupation by summer next year.

Mr Marshall praised the support received from Kirklees Council in bringing the project to life.

He said: "It has been a pleasure to work with Kirklees Council on this project.

"Special shout-outs should go to councillors Anthony Smith and Ashleigh Ronison, together with planning officer Louise Bearcroft.

"They have all helped to turn our dream of regenerating the Wappy Spring site into a reality."

Jimmy Marshall, also a director at Nano Park Company, highlighted the high-quality office space included in the development.

He said: "The first floor is a fully fitted-out office, designed to a very modern high standard and with a contemporary feel."

The Nano Park model has already seen success in Bradford, Wakefield, and Armley.
