Rock giants Kings of Leon have announced a North Yorkshire show next summer.

The band will perform at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Sunday, June 27.

Julian Murray of Cuffe and Taylor, promoters and venue programmers at Scarborough OAT, said: "Kings of Leon are one of the world’s biggest rock bands, with an incredible catalogue of hits and a live reputation built over more than two decades.

"We're absolutely delighted to welcome them to the Open Air Theatre next summer.

"This is a huge addition to our 2027 programme and promises to be a really special night on the Yorkshire coast."

The Scarborough date is one of only two northern UK shows confirmed for the band next summer, alongside two sold-out nights at London’s The O2 and a headline appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival.

Kings of Leon have previously headlined major festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, and Reading and Leeds.

They have also played a record-tying five nights at London’s Hyde Park.

The band joins a growing list of artists announced for Scarborough OAT’s 2027 line-up, which includes Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators, Bananarama, Alex Warren, Kaiser Chiefs, Alfie Boe, Ronan Keating, Jack Savoretti, James Morrison, and Simply Red.

Fans who pre-order the new album will receive access to a pre-sale starting Tuesday.

General ticket sales begin at 9am on Friday, October 30.

Tickets will be available from Ticketmaster and the Scarborough Open Air Theatre website.
