The Grinch will bring festive mischief to the North East when the family shows return for Christmas.

The shows will run on the Rockin’ Reindeer stage in Old Eldon Square from November 21 to December 24 as part of Newcastle’s Christmas Village.

EVNT Inspirations is organising three shows for children aged 3 and over on behalf of NE1 and Newcastle City Council.

Mike Hesketh of EVNT Inspirations said: "We’ve been absolutely blown away by the amount of interest there has been in the Christmas Village programme, the amazing feedback from last year has certainly spread across the region."

"We’re particularly excited about the fantastic shows that will be seen on the Rockin’ Reindeer stage, which will really create the magic of Christmas for the city’s young visitors."

Christmas With The Stars brings film and TV characters to life in an interactive musical show.

The Grinch will also appear on selected dates with songs, laughter and his trademark mischief.

K-Pop Christmas features high-energy music, easy-to-follow dance routines and lively games.

Ben Whitfield, director of communications at NE1, said: "We can’t wait for another packed festive programme on the Rockin’ Reindeer stage this Christmas.

"Alongside all the other family-friendly activities in Old Eldon Square, this year promises to be the best one yet, firmly establishing Newcastle as one of the best cities in the UK to visit during November and December."

Tickets cost from £7.50, plus a booking fee.

The Rockin’ Reindeer stage is one of several attractions at this year’s Christmas Village.

Visitors can hear Santa Stories in the tipi, have their photo taken and decorate cookies at Mrs Claus’ Bakery.
