A skincare expert has been selected as one of just three UK speakers at a leading international science symposium.
Dr Katerina Steventon, based in Beverley and representing the University of Hull’s Wound Innovation Department, will speak at the Beauty Ingredients and Formulation Asia Symposium (BIFA) in Hong Kong, taking place from November 10 to 11.
She will join a panel exploring the future of longevity in skincare.
Dr Steventon said: "In my multiple roles as a clinician, scientist, industry expert and representative of the Wound Innovation Institute at the University of Hull, I look forward to sharing my expertise from all my work over the last three decades with the global audience."
Her presentation will focus on the impact of stress and emotion on skin ageing, drawing on her extensive experience in clinical practice, scientific research, and product development.
An advocate of psychodermatology, Dr Steventon promotes the connection between skin health and emotional well-being, encouraging brands and consumers to consider the benefits of facial skincare and touch therapy.
A published author, she is recognised for turning skin science into commercial and societal impact.
The BIFA symposium, organised with the Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists, is a leading forum for R&D specialists, cosmetic scientists and formulation experts worldwide.
