A road in Fridaythorpe is set for a temporary closure for three days.
Church Lane will be closed to all through traffic between Church Barns and St Mary's Church from 8am on November 18, 2026 until 5pm on November 20, 2026.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said the closure is necessary for the installation of ducting and chambers for the new BDUK fibre network, on behalf of Quickline Communications.
The closure is to ensure public safety during the works.

An alternative route for traffic will be clearly marked and will take vehicles via Church Lane, Burdale Lane, B1251 Sledmere Road, A166 Wetwang Road, and Back Street.
There will be access for residents, emergency vehicles, and pedestrians.
