A busy York road will close to traffic tonight (Thursday) for highway repairs.
Skeldergate will shut from 6pm until 11.59pm.
The closure is between the junctions of Micklegate and Terry Avenue.

Pedestrians will still have access.
City of York Council says: “It is envisaged that access for resident and emergency vehicles will be maintained throughout the works period.”
Diversions will be via Bridge Street, Low Ousegate, Nessgate, Clifford Street, Towet Street, Fishergate, Fawcett Street, Skeldergate Bridge, Bishopgate Street, Prices Lane and Nunnery Lane.
