POLICE are appealing for information after a series of shed and garage burglaries and attempted break-ins were reported across Ilkley.

West Yorkshire Police said several incidents took place overnight between October 20 and October 21, with reports received from properties on Skipton Road, Kings Avenue and Easby Close.

Officers have recorded two incidents on Skipton Road, one on Kings Avenue and three on Easby Close.

According to police, CCTV footage from one address captured suspects in a garden at about 1am on October 21. Officers believe those seen on the footage are likely to be responsible for the other incidents in the area, or part of a wider team involved in the burglaries.

Police are now urging residents to review any CCTV, doorbell camera or security footage which may have captured the suspects or their movements.

A spokesperson said: “We have been made aware of several burglaries and attempted burglaries to garages and sheds that took place overnight on the 20/10/2026 to 21/10/2026 in Ilkley.

“CCTV from one address sites the suspects in a garden at 1am on 21/10/2026. They are likely responsible for the others in the area or are part of a team.”

Officers have also recovered two pedal cycles believed to have been stolen, possibly during the reported burglaries.

Police are seeking help to identify the owners of the bicycles and are asking anyone who recognises them, or knows who they belong to, to get in touch.

Anyone with information, CCTV footage, or details about the bicycles is asked to contact West Yorkshire Police and quote crime reference 13260598881.
