Man pays tribute
Damian Bolton, 35, from Little Horton, told the T&A he had known Mr Jarvis all his life.
Mr Bolton said: "Barry has been around since I was born. He was a long family friend and I always called him Uncle Baz."
Mr Bolton learned Mr Jarvis had been found in the dam on Sunday — his 35th birthday.
He described the late Mr Jarvis as an "absolute gentleman".
He remembered Mr Jarvis making him a personalised wooden garage when he was a child.
Mr Bolton added: "He loved making dolls houses, antiques and old toys just like myself."
They also shared a love of charity shopping.
He admitted that they did not have any photographs together, because they both didn't like having them taken.
