It is the second year running that the event has been held in the North East, following its move from London in 2025.
Excitement has been building in the North East since the Mercury Prize relocated from its long-time London home to Newcastle.
Among the celebrities arriving was singer RAYE, who was photographed in a striking mustard yellow gown.
Also turning heads on the carpet was Olivia Dean in an elegant white dress.
