A man has been cautioned for common assault after "pulling the hair of a teenage girl" on a bus heading to County Durham.
An investigation was launched after officers were made aware of a public order incident on the X27 bus from Newcastle to Stanley on October 10.
The incident, which took place shortly before 9pm, allegedly saw a man pull the hair of a 16-year-old girl - although she was not injured.
Durham Police previously said it was speaking to all parties involved, asking people to stop sharing viral footage of the incident.
And the force yesterday (October 21) confirmed that a man, aged in his mid-40s, has been issued a caution for common assault.
A spokesman said: “A man in his mid-40s has been issued with a caution for common assault, following an incident on the X72 bus from Newcastle to Stanley shortly before 9pm on Saturday, October 10”.
