A Middlesbrough businesswoman who turned redundancy into a successful wellness company is preparing to open her second location in Teesside.
Body Era, the latest venture from award-winning entrepreneur Sam Porteous, is due to open on Yarm High Street, offering a blend of wellness, relaxation and body treatments.

The wellness hub will offer a range of treatments including body sculpting, lymphatic drainage, pressotherapy and relaxation therapies.
Sam, founder of SP Aesthetics and Body Era, said: "Body Era is about creating a welcoming space for both men and women to pause, feel looked after and make time for themselves.
"As a mum of two young boys, I understand how precious even 30 or 60 minutes to yourself can be."

The clinic will also offer tailored treatments and support for women going through perimenopause and menopause.
Sam says she hopes to expand services at Body Era in future to include head spa services, Reiki, sound baths and breathwork sessions.
While on maternity leave with her six-month-old baby, Sam was made redundant and decided to build a business of her own from a spare bedroom.
She said: "From those beginnings in a spare bedroom to now preparing to open a second location, it means a huge amount to me."
Now running SP.HQ Skin & Aesthetics and a training academy in Acklam, Sam chose Yarm for her second location after falling for the character of its High Street premises.
"The space is in a beautiful Grade II-listed building on the High Street, with wooden beams, big sash windows, private treatment rooms and a boutique studio space," she said.
"It has such a lovely atmosphere, and I could immediately picture the experience I wanted to create there."
