An agricultural machinery fire has sparked on a North Yorkshire farm.
The county's fire and rescue service was called to a yard in Newton-upon-Rawcliffe at 6.47pm last night (Wednesday, October 21).
A service spokesperson said: "Crews from Pickering and Malton responded to a straw chopper on fire in a farm yard.
"They used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, and with support from the farmer using a telehandler, used pitch forks to overturn the straw and dampen down further hotspots."
