Yorktoberfest returned to York Racecourse this weekend with a packed programme of Bavarian-themed entertainment.
The event is being held under a Big Top for the first time, adding extra energy to the festivities.
The opening weekend featured a dramatic aerial performance from artist Zoe Kulyk, who wowed the crowd with her rooftop acrobatics.
Velma Celli, a drag performer, kept audiences entertained with powerful vocals and playful commentary on guests’ outfits.
James Cundall, event organiser and CEO of Jamboree Entertainment, said: "Staging Yorktoberfest in a Big Top for the first time has really ramped up the party atmosphere.
"The feedback from our first weekend has been superb, with many people commenting on the high-energy festive vibe, not to mention the fantastic entertainment line-up complete with a circus-themed aerial display."
The Bavarian Strollers, a live oompah band, led the crowd in traditional drinking songs and had everyone dancing to their mix of oompah anthems and disco favourites.
Guests also enjoyed a selection of beers, wines, spirits, and German-inspired food from The Dog Haus.
Yorktoberfest returns for a final weekend of celebrations on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24.
Standard tickets are priced at £25 per person, while VIP tickets cost £35 per person.
A booking fee applies to all online purchases.
Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.ticketsource.co.uk/yorktoberfest and will also be available at the entrance, subject to availability.
Entry is restricted to those aged 18 and over.
Yorktoberfest is produced by York-based Jamboree Entertainment, which has more than 30 years of experience in live entertainment and is known for producing Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland.
