An autumn celebration of heritage fruit and crafts is coming to life at Helmsley Walled Garden.
The event, running on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November 1, will feature traditional apple pressing, garden tours, and apple tree pruning demonstrations, along with a variety of hands-on autumn activities.
Visitors can enjoy demonstrations in willow weaving, pot throwing, and wood carving, while younger guests can take part in a pumpkin trail.
Local apple aficionado Finn Varney will demonstrate hand-powered fruit milling and pressing, using apples grown in the garden’s own orchard.
The garden is home to more than 70 varieties of heritage apples.
Artisan makers taking part include Iona Crawford Topp of Studio 573, Tom Trimmins Woodwork, and Angela Cole of Yorkshire Willow Baskets.
The weekend will also feature stalls from Ryedale Beekeepers Association, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, and the RSPB.
A spokesperson for Helmsley Walled Garden, said: "This is going to be a wonderful, interactive celebration of all that the garden has to offer in Autumn, and we can’t wait to share these heritage crafts with our visitors!"
