M&S Christmas food has arrived - now I'm sick of turkey already!
I’m sick of turkey already, and it isn’t even Christmas. Usually after Christmas Day we pick through the turkey carcass for several days, cold with vegetables, and sandwiches until we’re absolutely sick of it.
Now as an early Christmas taste of things to come, M&S have introduced a range of our favourite Christmas foods pre-cooked and ready for consumption.
Pigs in blankets sandwiches, Turkey Feast (turkey, pork sage onion stuffing, cranberry chutney & bacon).
All in lovely Santa Claus red wrapping (originally in England Santa wore a green-and-fur outfit).
I’m sick of turkey already and it’s still two months to go.
PS. Is it time to put the sprouts on for Christmas dinner yet?

Heronby saga
I read with interest the report on the latest developments in the "Heronby Saga", as reported on the main BBC news website.
I quote from their story: In Escrick, "The latest plans for Heronby were on display.
How the Heronby development, between York and Selby, could look. (Image: Submitted)
Officials said the planning application would see the proposed construction of two new roundabouts linking the site to the nearby A19…"
Mr. Forbes Adam (of the Escrick Park Estate) said the "interventions" outlined by officials would apply "from the A19 and A64 junction, right down as far south as Riccall".
"Those interventions will mean that, while the number of vehicles will be increased, the traffic flow - the speed you can move between the points - will also be increased," he explained."
Increasing the number of roundabouts on a road increases the speed one can move along that road?
Mr. Forbes Adam is clearly a regular user of the York Ring Road.

York is allegedly one of the most ghostly places in Britain.
When was the last time an accredited ghost was "seen", what and where was it?

Empty words won’t solve Britain’s work crisis
An illustration of how shallow in leadership qualities possessed by our Prime Minister is when 61 per cent of under 24s not in work are happy to exist on benefits. His only resource in search of a solution to this national disgrace is a selection of platitudes.

No common sense
Why is packaging so difficult to open these days?
I seem to need a strong pair of scissors or a chainsaw to retrieve my item from the plastic that encompasses my item I’ve ordered.
Its common sense that's thrown out of the window!

Massive benefits bill
Labour created this massive benefits bill by encouraging people to stay on benefits by increasing child benefits for all children.
They prefer to blame pensioners who paid for their pensions when working and the triple lock which has given pensioners a fairly reasonable pension.
They are threatening to remove the triple lock by the end of this year.
How about getting some of those on benefit into work also.
Fair’s fair.
