York band to celebrate 20 years with their ‘biggest headline show ever’ next year.
Metal band Glamour of the Kill will be marking the milestone with a homecoming show at York Barbican on Saturday 21 August 2027.
Having started out by playing local venues in York, Glamour of the Kill have spent the past two decades building the band, touring internationally and releasing music – all while remaining proud of their roots in the city.

Glamour of the Kill are Davey Richmond (vocals/bass guitar), Mike Kingswood (lead guitar/vocals), Sam Brookes (guitar), Josh Hardy (drums).
“We’re incredibly excited to be celebrating 20 years of Glamour of the Kill,” vocalist and bassist, Davey Richmond. “There really couldn’t be a more fitting place to do it than York Barbican, right here in our hometown.
“This show is going to be a celebration of everything we’ve done over the past two decades. We’ll be playing songs from across all of our releases, with a few surprises thrown in along the way, and we’re bringing some great friends along for the ride: Beyond All Reason and The Bastard Sons.
“The show will open with the winners of The Fulford Arms Battle of the Bands, which makes it even more special to be giving another local band the opportunity to be part of the night.
“This will be our biggest headline show ever, and we genuinely can’t wait to get up on that stage, celebrate 20 years with everyone who has supported us, and make it a night to remember.
“Here’s to York!”
Tickets will go on sale on Friday 23 October at 10am via the York Barbican website.
