With Halloween just around the corner, Police say they know many families will be looking forward to an evening of fun, fancy dress, and sweets.
However, they say they also recognise that not everyone wishes to receive such callers at their home.
“No Trick or Treaters” posters for residents to display are now available. These posters help send a clear and polite message that your household would prefer not to take part in Halloween activities.
Officers say they encourage parents and young people to respect these signs and only call at homes that are welcoming trick-or-treaters.
By looking out for one another and respecting residents’ wishes, Halloween remains a positive experience for everyone, they added.
