A new music strategy is set to shape the future of Bradford’s music scene.
The Bradford District Music Strategy will be launched at Bradford Live on Thursday, October 29, bringing together artists, venues, promoters, and industry leaders to celebrate and plan for the district’s musical future.
The event will include live performances and a presentation of the strategy, which aims to strengthen Bradford’s music ecosystem, support emerging talent, and raise the city’s profile as a hub for music.
Dr Jo Twist OBE, chief executive of the BPI, said: "We’re delighted to be sponsoring the launch of this strategy and Bradford’s forthcoming music month.
"This strategy will play an important role in supercharging Bradford’s well-established music ecosystem, which will be crucial for the success of the college that BPI is opening here – BRIT North.
"Bradford has a special story to tell through its music, and we hope this plan can inspire, support and champion the next generation of talent in the district."
The strategy was developed with input from more than 150 individuals and organisations across the music sector and is funded by Arts Council England’s Grassroots Music Fund.
Tickets to the event are free but must be booked in advance via BradfordCulture.co.uk.
