Bradford College is preparing to mark national T Levels Week from 19 to 23 October 2026, showcasing how technical education is shaping the career prospects of young people across West Yorkshire.
The two-year qualifications provide an established alternative to traditional academic study, offering 16-to-18 school leavers a balanced route into skilled work, higher apprenticeships or university.
Developed in close partnership with regional employers, Bradford College's T Level curriculum combines academic learning with meaningful workplace experience, ensuring students develop the skills and knowledge needed for future careers. This approach continues to deliver strong outcomes, with students achieving an impressive 96% pass rate in their T Levels during the 2025/26 academic year.
Students spend 80% of their timetable on campus in classrooms and workshops, while the remaining 20% is dedicated to an industry placement lasting at least 45 days.
On-campus learning takes place in purpose-built facilities designed to replicate real workplace settings, from creative production studios to technical laboratories.
During their industry placements, learners work alongside experienced professionals on live assignments, developing practical knowledge and workplace confidence.
This hands-on experience gives students a working professional network and an immediate taste of workplace expectations long before completing their studies.
Each full qualification carries UCAS tariff points equivalent to three full A Levels, keeping progression routes flexible whether learners choose higher education or immediate employment.
Available pathways cover major regional sectors, including digital support, mechanical engineering, media production, business administration, legal services and building services.
Specialist subjects introduce learners to industry-standard tools, technical diagnostics, design principles and corporate operations.
Tutors with professional industry backgrounds guide learners through technical assessments, ensuring course content stays aligned with current commercial standards.
To support students who need to strengthen their baseline qualifications, the college also provides one-year foundation and transition programmes.
These introductory routes help learners develop core competencies and achieve required GCSE grades prior to stepping up to Level 3 study.
Prospective students and their families can review entry criteria and course structures through guidance for school leavers available from the college admissions team.
Strong connections with local businesses ensure that student assignments mirror the genuine demands and standards of modern workplaces.
T Levels Week highlights how this collaborative approach between education and regional employers can open dependable career opportunities for school leavers.
Recognised as an Ofsted Good provider, the institution has established itself as a reliable anchor for vocational education and skills development across the district.
The college continues to offer a welcoming community where young people can discover a career pathway that suits their practical strengths and future ambitions.
