Video. Dutch Crown Princess Amalia was promoted to sergeant aboard a Norwegian training ship in Den Helder, where she has been sailing alongside first-year naval cadets.

Dutch Crown Princess Amalia was promoted to sergeant during a ceremony aboard the sailing ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl in Den Helder on Saturday. The 22-year-old began her education and training at the Dutch Defence College in 2025 and is currently serving with the Royal Netherlands Navy. Over the past week, she sailed aboard the Norwegian three-masted vessel alongside first-year naval cadets. Built in 1914, the Statsraad Lehmkuhl is frequently used as a naval training ship.
