A drugs gang ringleader has been ordered to pay back more than £250,000.
Mohammed Tasadiq Khan, 38, formerly of Fir Avenue, Ravensthorpe in Dewsbury, was convicted for his role in a £100 million cocaine and heroin supply operation and sentenced to 16 years in prison in August 2024.
Following his conviction, West Yorkshire Police’s Economic Crime Unit launched confiscation proceedings under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
A hearing at Leeds Crown Court found Khan had benefited by £2.75 million, and he was ordered to repay £260,108.04 within three months or face an additional three years in prison.

Razwan Arif, 26, formerly of Lee Road, Ravensthorpe, was described as the gang’s “accountant” and ordered to pay £51,967.64 at a separate hearing in September.
Arif was jailed for nine years and six months in June after pleading guilty to conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine.
His criminal benefit was calculated at £1,070,481.62.
Under the Proceeds of Crime Act, confiscated assets are distributed to operational agencies, including West Yorkshire Police, to support crime prevention and enforcement work.
A portion of the recovered funds is also reinvested into communities across the region through the Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund.
